T-3
3 days till the off and I decided to check out the weather forecast. One has to take notice of such things on two wheels. We can't just set off, come what may, like the tin box brigade.
Goes without saying that the waterproofs would be packed but seems pretty certain they will actually get an airing or two on the tour.
The ride up to Manchester looks OK on Friday, looking dry all the way. Saturday, as we head into heathen land, looks like it too, could be fairly pleasant. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday though look fairly grim and wet. The Highlands of Scotland are superb when the weather is dry and sunny but my experience from the Wild Hogs tour last year tells me just how shite we can expect it to be, if the predicted rainfall arrives.

We only got the one wet day in Scotland last year, but it did rain a lot
ReplyDeleteThe question is vented jacket and drop liner or straight waterproof FT?
ReplyDeleteLooks like full waterproof jacket, Hood jeans and Draggin Chinos and Held waterproof over trews.
