CZ16 - Changes
A change in our outward Shuttle to an earlier crossing means that Day 1 can be a little longer and so the YH booking in Ghent has been scratched and we can go further and stop around Frankfurt. Neill has been working on these during his downtime. This gives us an opportunity to try an off motorway route along the Castles Route and maybe the Romantische Straße before getting back on plan staying in Nuremburg. My third day outward route should also be roughly the same using the non motorway route across the Czech Republic to Brno. The other thing he has looked at are petrol stops. The Rocket has a tank range of about 200 miles but rather than get down to fumes I prefer to stop at about 150. Saves embarrassing myself as it is too bloody heavy to push. Plus, I always top up the morning after an overnight stop before hitting the road. So planned stops might be for rough guidance rather than necessity. The other change is that we will stay with my friend and former colleague Lilka. C
