Ride to the Wall 2020

It looks as though in 2020 the only DevallBoys ride out will be to the National Memorial Arboretum for the Ride to the Wall (RTTW).  

Neither of us have been on this run before and this year seemed like a good idea.  

The RTTW is on Saturday October 3rd.  There are organised ride-ins from across the country and we have chosen to go from Northampton Services.  For years these were called Rothersthorpe Services!

As it is an early start I have booked a hotel locally through booking.com so that we can cut down the Saturday morning ride.  There is a hotel on that services but it is quite expensive.

Having stayed a few times at motorway service hotels in the past, they are generally okay, but often expensive as they cater for a travelling audience that may well be on company expenses.

I have booked into the hotel at the previous services!  It's cheap.  It means to join the run we have only 13 miles to ride before the run starts. The services will have somewhere to eat and drink for the evening and breakfast.

So we'll have to go up on the Friday.  At the moment I will be working so I need to build up some flexi-time to get the day of half day off.  Once we know what our working arrangements are after the Covid-19 lockdown is finally over that is!
