OAFC - Done and dusted
Three weeks ago it was all done. An early start and a relatively easy drive to Oldham, lunch in Pizza Hut. Then round to collect the tickets and a surprise, a ball signed by the players, before hunting down the brick in the new stand, that I bought in my Dad's memory. The game went off well with Oldham winning and that confirmed they stay in League 1 again next season. From the game I took a little step down memory lane to see my first and second schools; St Matthews Infant and Chadderton Hall. Not much seems to have changed except Chadderton Hall has become St Matthews Primary. From there back on the M60 to Northenden to where our Aunt Linda and Roger live. Good to catch up and a Chinese takeaway (or rather delivery) for dinner washed down with a beer and after that far on the road an early night was in order.
